An Interview | Musette

I hope everyone had a great weekend! We spent the weekend in Chicago, it was so much fun! We explored some new restaurants and shops around Wrigleyville and Wicker Park. It was great to just get away.

I am so pleased to share an interview and feature with Shannon of Musette! I have been trying to get some interview features done for a while, but I haven't had the time to get around it. But pull up a chair, a cup of tea and lets get down to business.

What is your craft and how long have you been crafting?
I have been addicted to making jewelry for about 10 years now. I am also a painter but now that I am selling on etsy it is hard to find the time to do it!

What other things do you do besides creating?
I work in an art gallery. I participate in a co-op. I hang out with friends. I watch LOTS of movies with my boyfriend.

What inspires you?
Other artists are a huge inspiration for me. It doesn't matter what medium - I love to see other artists out there being creative and doing their thing! I also draw a lot of inspiration from my supplies. I like to be able to see as much of them as I can from where I sit in my studio. That way I can look around and see what I can put together to create a new piece!

Are there any artists that inspire you?
I am a big fan of photography - I tend to gravitate towards darker works with a sense of mystery. I really like Cindy Sherman and Diane Arbus. One of my favorite paintings is The Mystery and Melancholy of a Street by Giorgio de Chirico.

What are five words that describe you?
creative, goofy, easy-going, generous, loving
