This holiday season, I am planning on doing a gift exchange in which each person must make a handmade gift for their Secret Santa. It's time to get creative! I am going to start thinking of some great gifts to make and give! I am so excited!!

More time for fun!

Since my recent career transition, I have much more time for fun! Today I went to lunch with some former employees, and then I was feeling inspired so I went to Forest Park to take some photos and have a nice walk around the park. It was very relaxing. I had the chance to break out my good old Argus 75, a long lost friend of mine! Here are just a few shots that I took this afternoon.

It's Monday again!

I hope you all had a great weekend. I supported some of my friends who participated in a local half marathon. There 17,000 people involved! It was exhilarating and it sort of makes me want to try one out sometime. It would take a lot of time and energy for training, but if I did it with someone, it would make it better.

I also helped throw a baby shower for my friend yesterday and it turned out to be a great success!! Many people showed up with some really nice gifts for her, so I was really happy.

Over the weekend we stayed in a cabin about an hour from home. Our cabin had a barn with three horses. Here's one of the lovely horses. I love the softness of this photo.

A New Change

I hope you all had a wonderful week. Sorry that my posts have been a little low lately. I am in the middle of a career transition. So lately, I've been thinking about what paths to take and where to go. We'll see what happens. I have been spending most of my time updating my portfolio, website, and resume. Join the Pen Pal Club!!

Wow, when I was browsing Poppytalk over the weekend, I found this great post about joining a pen pal club. I remember one of my favorite past times growing up was that I had a pen pal over on the west coast, she lived in Oregon. We wrote each other for almost 2 years. I would get so excited to get mail from her. We'd share photos and stories, it was wonderful. Then she moved to Michigan and we still continued to write! The letters sort of dropped off a little while after she moved. She probably got busy exploring a new neighborhood. But this post made me want to join in! This Pen Pal club is world wide and is hosted by Reform School. Click here to see the post.

I am posting from the kitchen counter of Michael's sister's new condo! We made it into Chicago last night and we got to see their beautiful new place for the first time and it's absolutely lovely!

Today we may attempt some outdoor ice skating!

Happy Birthday!

Yes, today is my birthday! It's not just any birthday, this year is my golden birthday. I am turning 26 on the 26th. This weekend we'll be headed for Chicago to celebrate. I am so excited!
